Quality Assurance and Control

Quality first

Quality Assurance and Control is an integral part of delivering a successful project on-time and on-budget. The development and testing methodology at RealDecoy is designed to find errors or omissions as early as possible in order to minimize or eliminate costly revisions.

Our QA/QC process relies on combining:

  • The live cycle testing approach that involves constant testing of the solution even after software plans are complete and the tested system is implemented.
  • A trained and detail-oriented testing staff
  • The right tools that allow for efficient workflow

Our test process involves testing in every phase of the life cycle:

  • During the requirement phase the emphasis is upon validation to determine that the defined requirements meet the organization needs and quality standards.
  • During the design and development phases, the emphasis is upon verification to ensure that design and development implement the final requirements.
  • During the deployment phase the emphasis is on inspection to determine that the implemented system meets the system specifications.
  • During the maintenance phase the system is constantly retested to determine that the changes work and the unchanged modules are not broken

RealDecoy’s dedicated quality assurance team creates the test cases and test plans for each project. Quality control is applied throughout the development of the site through functional testing, UI testing, regression testing and facilitates both user acceptance testing and additional usability testing done by the planning team.

“Canada’s newest museum, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR), has launched a project for the development of a transition website which will provide a bridge from their very first virtual resource to their full blown virtual website. Real Decoy, the technical development lead for the project, has provided true professional guidance to the Museum. Real Decoy is a solution oriented company that addresses Museum requirements in a flexible and process-savvy manner. The company’s expertise in Universal Accessibility has been a real asset to the project. On top of providing the right technology and direction for the project they also educated Museum staff on W3C accessibility standards. Working with Real Decoy is a very positive experience.”
