Our capabilities are twofold: we architect, plan and build a wide range of web sites and web-related projects, and we integrate applications into clients’ existing infrastructure. Our clients range from small agencies to large multinational corporations. We excel at what we do, we work to the very highest standards and all of our staff take great pride in their work.

We are 10 years old and have had considerable success. As a result of our continuing growth, we are looking to find people to join our technical staff in our Ottawa office.

Your Challenge:

RealDecoy is seeking to add new client-facing software engineers to its team. The developer role will be fast paced from the moment you start; you will be learning new ways of working with the opportunity to learn new technologies, and you will be collaborating with a variety of clients to ensure that we provide the best possible service to them. Typically, you will be required to:

  • Undertake web site and application development with Microsoft technologies.
  • Work concurrently on several projects with the support of each project’s Technical Lead/Project Manager.
  • Provide time estimates for various aspects of development.
  • Provide other development support as required and consistent with your current skill set (HTML markup, etc).

Travel: minimal travel will be required for this position.

As the Ideal Candidate, you will have:

  • An ability to juggle several projects at once
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of OOD/OOP concepts
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the following:
    • VB.NET/ASP.NET
    • .NET 1.1 & 2.0 Framework
    • VS2003
    • ASP 3.0
    • SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005
    • SQL, and associated normalization & optimization techniques
    • HTML / JavaScript/ CSS
  • Experience working with Windows platform and related technologies
  • University degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

It would be great if you also had:

  • C#
  • Web services and SOAP
  • Microsoft Content Management Server
  • Version control systems (CVS or Visual SourceSafe)
  • Adobe PhotoShop
