Geoff Waddington
PRESIDENT
With 15 years’ experience developing online systems, Geoff Waddington is an experienced computer systems engineer with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a background in management. His leadership and team skills have been derived from teaching, facilitation, and presentations to various client bases, including customers and senior management. Geoff’s research interests include network performance and Internet security.
He is bilingual and has written feature articles about the Internet that have been published internationally.
During his career, Geoff has been involved with a number of distinguished projects. He was the driving force behind CANVEST, an online financial software and information service, and played a major role in implementing the technical infrastructure of Virtual Ventures, a summer computer camp for Ottawa-area youth.
Geoff has studied at both Carleton University and the Royal Military College, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with High Distinction in Computer Systems Engineering from Carleton University. He has also completed graduate-level courses in System Design and Human-Computer Interfaces, and has won several awards for his academic work, including the coveted Senate Medal for Academic Achievement.
Richard Isaac
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Richard Isaac is responsible for business development, the project management practice and account management for RealDecoy. With over ten years of project management experience and a strong understanding of client needs and wants, Richard serves as the practice manager for our team of project managers; providing our clients with a single point of contact when dealing with RealDecoy.
Richard also manages all partnerships and as such is able to provide recommendations on any of RealDecoy’s partners including RedDot, Endeca, Microsoft and others.
Richards experience includes projects of all sizes and across all technologies including work for Alcatel, CBC, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the National Gallery of Canada, Rogers, Sony and many more.
Richard has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa.
Erik Hagborg
V.P. STRATEGY & PLANNING
Erik is a digital media strategist, information architect and interaction designer. His expertise encompases web strategies, information architectures and user experience consulting for a broad range of clients and applications.
With time working for both agencies and clients, Erik’s experience spans all mediums. Erik has provided strategic direction, information architecture and interaction design services for clients such as: Canada Post, the Government of Canada, the Government of Jamaica, Honda, Intuit, and a multitude of SME's in all areas.
A strong understanding of the mediums, technology, and the business of his clients provides a strategic insight that allows targeted and effective advice. Strong organizational skills maintain the strategic direction by effectively managing the development process, ensuring the ultimate success of the project.
Erik has a university education in graphic communications management, and an acute interest in organization, business, taxonomy, and client needs making him a valuable asset on any project. With over 16 years experience in the communications field, Erik brings an understanding of technology, best practices and client needs to every project.
Mark Stephenson
V.P. SPECIAL PROJECTS
Mark Stephenson is a professional WCMS (Web Content Management System) specialist and multimedia web developer with a creative edge. Mark brings together over fifteen years of professional experience in digital media design and development.
Past projects run the gamut from Internet and Intranet web sites to multimedia presentations and from illustration, animation, creative direction to user interface design and development. Mark also has extensive experience with content management systems including MSCMS and RedDot CMS.
With solid design, technical, business, communication, and management skills in combination with his years of experience, Mark has the unique ability to analyze client needs, visualize and complete complex projects from end to end.
Alex Proulx
V.P. TECHNOLOGY
With a background in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Alex brings an in-depth understanding of web technologies to every project. As RealDecoy’s V.P. Technology Alex’s technology background and education provides him with the knowledge required to successfully provide technology solutions to a wide range of clients.
Alex is responsible for the technology used in all projects and ensuring that the appropriate technical architectures are implemented. Alex has experience on projects of all sizes and for a wide range of clients: Fortune 500 companies, associations, U.S. and Canadian government departments, cultural and arts organizations and local non-profit groups. Alex has also managed the technical development of several large education, skills assessment and career web sites for the territory of Nunavut, Canada.
Alex’s strong technical, planning, management and communication skills all play a role in maintaining the strategic direction of projects and ensuring their successful completion.
